Project Bangladesh

Chris Austin, aka OO, is a long standing Richmond member. Former section Chairman and Club Treasurer, Chris now runs the British relief programme in Bangladesh. On his travels around the country, he has seen the passion for cricket and has decided that Richmond CC should do its bit to help to promote the game and assist those who want to play.

During the year we will be raising money in a number of ways - sale of specific items, fundraising, donations - as well as donating surplus clothing for distribution. Last year, we raised £300 whilst on our annnual cricket tour, but we wish to do a lot more in 2009.

For a start, Chris has produced some Richmond Cricket Club blazers which are of exceptional quality and can be purchased for just £40, with all proceeds going to Bangladesh to fund cricketing causes. Recognising that he is not the best person to model these blazers, OO in true Richmond style, recently recruited Supermodel Christy Turlington to do it on our behalf and she looks smashing!
