The Cotswold Tour
Richmond has been touring since 1975. For a few years, the intrepid cricketers stayed in Worcester and played fixtures around that beautiful city. However in 1983, the Tour changed venue deserting the rather staid setting of the Station Hotel, Worcester for the altogether livelier Lygon Arms in Chipping Campden.
For a week every August, Richmond players descend on the Lygon Arms in number. True tourists leave early on Monday morning for a round of golf at Stinchcombe Hill and not return until Friday evening or even Saturday morning ! Others prefer to come for just a few days.
Whatever your preference you are guaranteed a unique Richmond experience of cricket, socialising and for many a few rounds of golf thrown in. Not forgetting a little sleep.........but only a little !!
