4 wins and a winning draw from League Week 12 see Richmond consolidate across the Leagues.

Week 12 of the League season and almost a full house of wins as the 1's, 2's, 4's and 5's all triumphed. Only the 3's were unable to claim victory as Teddington held out for draw.
The 1's won an important toss at Finchley and the quartet of seamers did not disappoint as they ran through the home side's batting line-up. At one stage Finchley were 49 for 8 but rallied slightly before being all out for 90. Dave Burton and Jack Porter picked up 3 wickets, Jimmy Mugnaioni and Steve Stacey 2. In reply, Richmond had a bad start with Andrew Plummer, Bhavesh Pankhania and Andrew Lowe all back in the pavilion with only 8 runs on the board. But with Arthur Sewell joining Ryan Higgins at the crease, the new ball was seen off and the target overhauled, Higgins finishing in style with a 6 over extra cover. The 1's have extended their lead at the top of the table to 13 points, ahead of Hampstead who move into 2nd, 1 point clear of North Middlesex.
At ODP, the 2's bowled Finchley out for 214 and despite losing wickets at regular intervals, they reached the target with an over to spare. Joe Smith led the way with an excellent 78 not out with good support from Kshitij Desai and James Essex. The 2's move up to 3rd place, 24 points behind the leaders Ealing and 2 points behind 2nd placed Teddington.
The 3's were inserted by Teddington and rattled up 248 for 9 off 50 overs. In reply Teddington slumped to 28 for 5 but gamely resisted for the rest of the innings. A winning draw sees the 3's remain top but only by 1 point ahead of North Middlesex.
The 4's strengthen their grip on the promotion places in Division 3 with a comfortable win against Winchmore Hill 3's. Skipper Ian John Moore led the way with 5 for 26 as the Hill were dismissed for 88. Miles Dilworth's 46 was the top score as the 4's knocked off the target for the loss of just 1 wicket.
The 5's also bowled their opposition, Ealing 5's, out for 88 and knocked them off to earn a much-needed win.
So a good Saturday which leaves us well-poised across the tables. With 6 weeks to go, it is shaping up to be an exciting final third of the season but there is much to do still. Good availability and a positive mindset will be critical. Next Saturday sees a Saturday night social at ODP and hopefully there will be more points to celebrate.
