Only the 2's win on League Saturday 15.

A disappointing day saw one win but 4 defeats for Richmond's sides in the Middlesex County Cricket League.
The 1's were well beaten at North Middlesex. The home side won the toss, chose to bat and got off to a fast start. They were pegged back for a while (114 for 4) but then kicked on to record an imposing 270 for 7 off their 50 overs. In reply, our batting failed to spark against some accurate bowling from the league leaders and apart from Will Phillips 57 and a late flourish from David Burton (40) and Abdullah Nazir (26 not out) which gave us some respectability, there was little to write home about. The defeat leaves the 1's looking over their shoulder as they are now just 19 points ahead of 9th placed Finchley.
The 2's quest for the title continues with an excellent win against Hampstead. Having chosen to bat, Richmond soon found themselves 20 for 4 but recovered through Tanmay Thanawalla, Kshitij Desai and Dan Fryer to reach 159 off their 45 overs.
An excellent opening spell from Steve Stacey and Michael Wood restricted the visitors to 30 for 2 off 12. The introduction of Sam Goodwill and KD saw three quick wickets fall to leave them 51 for 5 and from there tight bowling and some superb catching resulted in Hampstead being dismissed for 81. Frustratingly Shephers Bush beat Osterley by just 3 runs which means that the 2's remain in 2nd place.
The 3's enjoyed a good game at the Newman against Barnes. After Fayed Fazaldin and Peter Louwrens had got us off to a good start, the middle order could not capitalise and a score of 180 off 45 was probably 20 short of where we should have been. Barnes reached the target 7 down with an over to spare. James Nelson was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 53 off 12 overs.
The 4's lost heavily to Indian Gymkhana and remain in the relegation places. Alex Zotov took 6 for 60 as the home side was dismissed for 199 but our reply faltered after a good start and we were dismissed for 102.
The 5's restricted Twickenham 4's to 163 for 7 but were unable to bat well enough to win, being bowled out for 114.
With three weeks to go there is much work still to be done!
