The 1's destroyed Shepherds Bush with an excellent all-round performance to maintain a strong title challenge.

The weather interfered with matches on Weekend 8 with the 3b's match being abandoned half way through - after Richmond had dismissed Hornsey 3's for 144 - and the 5's game called off on Friday due to a waterlogged pitch at Harlington. However, where there was play, there were positive results for the 1's, 2's and 3's with the 1's and 3's winning very comfortably and the 2's dominant in a winning draw.
The 1's travelled to Shepherds Bush and were invited to bat. After the early loss of Arthur Sewell, Ben Compton and James Irvine-Fortescue seized the initiative with an excellent partnership of 85 until, just before lunch, JIF and then Abhishek Jhunjhunwala were dismissed in quick succession. This handed momentum back to the hosts and when Alex Griffiths, Greg King and Compo were dismissed in a 40 minute spell after lunch, we were teetering on 141 for 6. However, Jack Porter rallied the tail. His 61 off 47 balls, with support from James Essex and David Burton, took Richmond over the 200 mark and eventual declaration at 237 for 8 off 61.
The Bush started well with 20 off the first over but from them on, ball dominated bat. Ports struck first before a short sharp shower saw the teams take an early tea. With no time lost, Burts took no time to make an impact clean bowling numbers 3 & 4 before Tom Hemingway took over. Bowling possibly his best spell for Richmond, Tom was superb, using flight and guile to run through the rest of the Bush's batting. Aided by excellent catching and aggressive fields, Tom took wickets at regular intervals until with 1 still needed, dark clouds gathered. As the first drops started to fall, the Bush's last man hit out and Ports rounded off his very good day with a tumbling catch. 12 points gained to remain level at the top of the table with Ealing.
The 2's had a frustrating day having been put in at ODP. On a tricky pitch with a slow outfield, the 2's declared on 189 for 9 after 50 overs, Sam Cheetham the highest scorer with 41. In return Acton started well but after losing wickets in the middle, they shut up shop and we were unable to prise them out as they ended up on 121 for 7 after 48. 5 points to Richmond which sees the 2's move into joint 3rd in the table, 23 points behind leaders Teddington.
The 3's bowled Acton out for 136 and knocked them off for 4 wickets with Stephen Price's 55 leading the way. 10 points sees Richmond move into 4th, 8 points behind the leaders North Middlesex.
