It has been a strong start to the 2017 season for colts and adults at RCC

It is great to see so many people already enjoying the new season at Old Deer Park and the Newman Cricket Ground (at Christ's school). ODP has already seen some strong performances with wins against both Wimbledon and Sunbury - there us going to be a very high standard of cricket played at ODP this season so come along and watch whenever you can.

The colts season has started with buzzing Friday evenings and a hive of activity on two sunny Sunday mornings in April. We are seeing lots of families returning again this year, and also many new faces. The team of volunteers have made an excellent start to the season with a strong focus on keeping everyone involved all of the time.

It is time to pay your subs please!! Many of you already have - thankyou - and some of the age groups are filling up. We will have to shut some groups soon in order to ensure that we can keep coaching ratios up and have the space to ensure that the experience is a good one for all. Please see this article for details.

We are very keen to make Friday evenings a social occasion. On many weeks there are U15 or U17 matches on and we encourage you all to join us at the clubhouse for a drink and a bite to eat to start your weekends.

We have had a few teething troubles as with any start to the season - the nets contractors arrived a few days ahead of schedule and we have had a few kids going home very wet after they spotted an opportunity for some unplanned fun beneath the sprinklers! Note that these will be turned off during training from now on.

All age groups are still looking for volunteers to make the experience on a Sunday morning even more fun, and we are actively looking for Age Group Managers for the U6s and U9s. Please contact Rich Zotov (colts.richmondcricketclub@gmail.com) if you are interested in helping out. It is very rewarding and there is a large team around to support you.

Keep supporting the club and we welcome any feedback on how we can keep more and more kids playing and enjoying our fantastic sport.
