Interested in getting out on the field? The Rangerettes are recruiting!
Formed in 2012, the Rangerettes are a ladies team open to ALL, beginner or pro. Made up of players who arrived with a mixture of experience, everyone is keen to learn more, has an ever growing passion for the game and enjoys the active social scene at here at Richmond Cricket Club.
Training sessions are female only and aim to bring everyone up to speed on the rules of the game and sharpen their skills for the coming matches. We train on Wednesday evenings from 6.30-8.30pm, and then have drinks and sometimes a BBQ after! The ladies often get together on a Thursday evening or Saturday morning for additional nets sessions.
The Rangerettes are lucky enough to be coached by a professional cricketer and coach, who ensures sessions cater for everyone no matter what your experience. Our coach is regularly joined by our club’s overseas scholars who help give additional one-to-one tuition so you always have someone helping you improve your technique, knowledge and confidence.
We are truly spoiled with our cricket ground; Old Deer Park (Kew Road, Richmond) is a beautiful field with multiple nets for training.
New for 2015 – Middlesex Women’s League
During the summer of 2015 Richmond Cricket Club will become one of the inaugural teams in the Middlesex Women’s Cricket League. The league has been designed to promote ladies cricket across London at a grass roots level. We will play between 5-11 games across the summer season. Fixtures and more information will be added here in March/April.
If you’re interested in getting involved, know someone else who is, or just want some more information, please contact our captain, Lucinda Springett on 07739001409 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, if you have any questions about the team or the club, you can post your questions on the Ladies' very own Facebook page [https://www.facebook.com/groups/252146348218402/]. All info on socials, training and matches (in that order of importance) are posted here.
If you’re looking for a fun friendly team to play cricket with, we'd love to hear from you!
