The 1st XI suffered a humiliating defeat against Teddington but the 2's and 3's beat Hampstead whilst the 4's won comfortable against Twickenham 3's.

Weekend 16 and the end of the dream for the 1's as a heavy defeat against Teddington puts us out of the race for the title. However, good wins for the 2's and 3's keep them in the hunt whilst another excellent win for the 3b's ensure that they will be playing at the highest possible level again next year. The 5's are frustrated by the weather and draw but they too are safe from relegation.
The 1's won the toss, batted and were dismissed for just 47. Teddington bowled steadily throughout but, in truth, this was an unacceptable batting display and we paid the humiliating price.
The 2's batted first at Hampstead, got off to a flyer with Kshitij Desai leading the way with 77 off 51 balls. Daniel Stanley took the lead as wickets began to tumble in the middle order but Oli Tame hit a quick fire 42 to see Richmond post a total of 269. Hampstead got off to a flyer and, as 120 for 2, seemed well placed but slowly Richmond took wickets, as the slower bowlers took charge. Stalker took 3, KD 2 and Charles Scholefield 2 as the 2's won by 24 runs. They now sit in 2nd just two points behind North Middlesex.
The 3's also took 10 points against Hampstead, dismissing the hosts, who were top of the table, for 149 and then chasing the score down for the loss of 7 wickets. Skipper Ben Rotheram led the way with 4 for 36 and then guided his side home with 31 not out. There were a couple of wickets for Barnaby Cole and Sami Shori and an important 45 from Greg Stern. The 3's remain 3rd behind Ealing and Hampstead.
The 3b's dismissed Twickenham 3's for 137 at the Newman Cricket Ground. 3 wickets apiece for Ian John Moore and Gian Shori, 2 for Sam Carroll and Mick Atkinson. Mick also guided the side home with 25 not out after Dhruv Tahil and James O'Farrell had got Richmond off to a good start. The 3b's are now 4th 20 point behind leaders Highgate. The 5's were on top against Calthorpe but bad weather put paid to their hopes of victory and handed Calthorpe the winning draw.
With two games to go, availability will be very important. In particular it is hoped that the 1st XI players make themselves available a) to finish the season with some pride and b) to ensure that our 2's and 3's as as strong as they can be.
