Women and Girls 1 of 12

1. Welcome!

Do you know a woman or girl who would love to play cricket? If so, our club is the place for her!

At Richmond Cricket Club, we have well-established and thriving women and girls' section across all age groups from the age of six upwards. We welcome women or girls of all abilities, whether they are completely new to the game or have some previous experience of playing.

We provide an inclusive and friendly environment to develop players and their enjoyment of the game. After all, if they don’t enjoy it, they won’t continue! Our coaches are ECB qualified, have been approved by the Disclosure and Barring Service, and continually strive to ensure the women and girls reach their full potential.

During the summer, our women have a training session on a Tuesday and play games on Sunday afternoons & Friday evenings; our younger girls train on a Sunday morning and our older girls train on Monday & Tuesday evenings, whilst also taking part in matches against other local clubs on weekday evenings and weekends. In the winter months, there is an opportunity to take part in indoor training and competitions.

Our girls are regularly selected to represent the county at their age level and our U13 team reached the National Finals of the Lady Taverners T20 (20 over) Competition in 2019.

We are always keen to hear from new players, and there are opportunities throughout the year for women or girls new to the game, to come and try cricket with us – free – to see if they like it.

If someone you know is interested in joining us for women's or girls’ cricket at Richmond Cricket Club, or if you’d simply like to find out more about our excellent programme, please contact our membership secretaries:
