The Under 14's reach County Finals Day; the Under 17's are into the County Cup Final.

Thursday saw more success for the club's youngsters with the Under 14's back in action - this time in a play-off against Harrow for a place in the County Finals day - and the Under 17's taking on Stanmore in the County Cup Semi-Final. Both matches were won and the Young Ranger Juggernaut continues on its merry way.
I don't yet have the details of the U14's match but know that we won by the narrowest of margins. Harrow needed 3 to win off the last ball but we secured the victory through a run out to win by 1 run. The Under 14's now go through the Finals Day at Teddington on Sunday 5th August.
The Under 17's won by 10 runs against Stanmore but had to work hard for their victory. Having lost 2 early wickets, Tom Knight and Anosh Malik batted very sensibly in a partnership of 68 to steady the ship. Anosh went 12 runs later but Dru Shori stepped up to the plate with a well-struck 41 not out off 32 balls to set Stanmore a target of 148. They started well in reply, reaching 53 before losing their first wicket to Sami Shori's catch of Dru's off spin. Whilst they continued steadily, the rate continued to rise and in the end, this brought about their downfall with run-outs aplenty. The U17's now go through to a 40 over final on Sunday 12th August.
