The new season at RCC is not far away now with friendlies arranged for 21st and 28th April and the league itself starting on 5th May. The colts season kicks off on the 22nd April.

In the meantime we are working hard to get the Newman Cricket Ground (Christ's School) into the best possible shape and all being well the new electronic scoreboard should also be up and running for the start of the season.

We are planning to tackle some general pre-season maintenance jobs on Saturday 14th April from 10.30pm and your help would be much appreciated if you could spare a few hours for some manual labour….and for a well-earned beer afterwards of course.

In particular we need to tidy up the ground near the perimeter fence, clean and move the shelter, put some astroturf down in front of the shelter and clean the covers…

If you have access to any of the following please would you bring them with you:
- Strimmers
- Electric extension cables
- Tree saws
- Secateurs
- Gardening gloves
- Buckets, sponges, scrubbing brushes, old towels/cloths
