About the team

We are a friendly, diverse and inclusive group of keen cricketers with experience that ranges from absolute beginners to county players.

As of October 2023, we have won the Middx tier 1 regional league 2 years in a row and our fiercely competitive A team features Middlesex, Surrey and Borough players.

We welcome new players every year seeking to progress inside a strong cohort that plays a lot of cricket both in and out of season.

In 2023, we played 51 games including in 2 Middlesex midweek leagues, 2 Surrey Sunday leagues, the Middlesex cup, regional play-off cup and lots of friendlies with some of the best teams in and around London.

Our entire squad averaged 13 games/player in the 2023 season but A team players averaged over 20 matches so players at all levels get a lot of time to learn where it counts, in the middle.

We train all year round, focusing on building a different skill each week and keeping our players in touch with the game during off-season. New players looking to try out are very welcome to come along to our free off-season training every week on Saturday mornings 9-11 outdoors at Old Deer Park. These start on 23 Sept 2023 through to Christmas, then restart again in January 2024. The club offers indoor net sessions with our pro-coaches 3-4 times per week at facilities across the area during the off-season.

We take pride in bringing players up from the B team, many of whom played up to the As in 2023. Our ethos is that everyone gets the chance to progress and the opportunity to shine.

During the 2024 season, we will train weekly on Tuesday evenings at Newman Cricket Grounds at Christ's School in Richmond, led by our pro coaches supported by trained, background-checked parent coaches in a new programme developed by Adam London, our Director of Cricket and a former Middlesex player. We coach all levels, use bowling machines when appropriate and focus on playing as a team while developing core skills with the ball, bat and in the field.

One highlight of the season is celebrating our players’ achievements at our awards night at Old Deer Park where we hand out achievement awards to 20 players of all levels of experience as well as player medals to every member of our squad, including younger players.

Our ultimate goal is to nurture a lifelong love of cricket regardless of ability or experience.

Come and join us - all welcome!
