Richmond CC are delighted to announce the overseas signing of Ryan Quinn from Auckland, New Zealand

I am over the moon that Ryan will be joining us this season. His skillset and experience are just what we have been searching for as we look to bounce straight back to the Premier League. Ryan will play a pivotal role I am certain.

We are really exited that Ryan Quinn will be joining RCC as our overseas player in 2023.

Ryan, a seam-bowling all rounder, is an exciting and valuable talent for Auckland A and has been a consistently dominant force in the Auckland Premier Men’s competition over the last few years.

He has been a mainstay for a star-packed Takapuna line-up who finished the 2021/2022 season as National champions!

In 2021 Ryan took 42 wickets at 21.52, beating his tally of 38 wickets at an average of 18.92 the season before. 2022 was somewhat curtailed by an injury but Ryan still managed to take 29 wickets, even with reduced playing time. Bat in hand, Ryan has made multiple premier half-centuries with a highest score in Premier cricket of 83.

Having played in the Home Counties Premier League in 2018 and 2019, for Finchampstead, this will be Ryan’s 3rd season in the UK.

Craig Cachopa the former Auckland Aces Captain, Sussex County Player, and Takapuna Premier coach said:

“Ryan is an exceptionally talented guy who is a great teammate and club man! His bowling is uncomfortable to face, and he’s got the pace and skill to change a game in a spell.”

Alongside Ryan’s fine playing pedigree he is an experienced cricket coach, running his own coaching business in New Zealand. During his time at RCC Ryan will be working closely with Adam London, in providing both 121 and group coaching sessions.

1st team Captain and Director of Cricket, Adam London, said:

“I am over the moon that Ryan will be joining us this season. His skillset and experience are just what we have been searching for as we look to bounce straight back to the Premier League. Ryan will play a pivotal role I am certain.”
