Farewell Big Mike

Members of all ages will be saddened to hear that Mike Cronkshaw has passed away. The word legend is often over-used but in Big Mike's case, it does not justice to his service to Richmond from 1968 through to today. An outstanding 1st XI bowler in the late 60's and 70's, Mike was a tourist, captain, Team Secretary, umpire and, above all, friend and mentor to generations of Richmond cricketers. A larger than life character in every sense, may he rest in peace. It was a privilege to have known him.
