Richmond made hard work of chasing a modest total of 163 against East Molesey in the First Round of the Royal London National Club Championship.
Richmond bowled well dismissing the visitors for 162 with all bowlers chipping in. A disappointment for skipper Alex Griffiths would have been the number of wides conceded by his bowlers. An extras count of 36 out was excessive.
In reply Richmond had a poor start, slumping to 41 for 5 before Burton, in partnerships with David Blows, Jack Porter and finally Tom Hemingway, saw the home side over the line and into the 2nd Round.
