Bowling first RCC U11 restricted the opposition to 256 for the loss of 7 wickets. Our opening bowlers Mashood and Magnus bowled with hostility and kept things tight. This was backed up by tiger like fielding and plenty of encouragement led by our keeper Grayson. The middle overs led to a tumble of wickets as East Molesey struggled to unpick Alfred's well delivered leg spin nor find any relief from Finns metronomic medium pace. Thereafter all bowlers chipped in and Alfred and Grayson combined for a super run out. Everyone could feel proud to have contributed to an excellent team effort.
Our openers were intent on trying to win the game within 4 overs. And impressive striking and running left RCC U11 within 21 runs of victory. The momentum continued, aided it has to be said by a multitude of wides and no balls.
In the middle overs again everyone chipped in and we reached 275 after 12 overs. With our final score being 309 after 16 (we were a man down and so our final pair did not count).
Very pleasing was the running between the wickets. Overall there were probably 20 stolen runs, with Noah being the top thief.
The team spirit and support for each other was excellent.
