In our pairs cricket league, RCC U11s played Walton-on-Thames at Christ's School.
Walton won, but it was a good game. RCC U11 batted first and made 290, losing 8 wickets in the process. Walton made 300 for 6.
Everyone made a few runs, with Noah S noteworthy for forcing some good running. Walton were a very tight fielding team, stopping runs and making two excellent run outs.
RCC fielded well, with good spirit, but as is often the case conceded too many extras - wides, no balls and byes. There was also a bit of unnecessary overthrowing. There was some good bowling. Finn P took a c&b and Archie R and Robin M both bowled very accurately and very economically.
A good well matched fixture which everyone seemed to enjoy.
