Government and ECB announce return of recreational cricket from 11th July

If your inbox, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or whatever channels you use were on yesterday evening then this will be something like the 232nd notification that there was an announcement about the return of cricket! This article is to give you an update on current status and plans, and to request that you be patient whilst we sort out the details.

We have been preparing for this, with work already undertaken to reopen the facilities at Christ’s school, the ODP bar reopening this weekend (though with a temporary pause on Sunday), out grounds checked for availability, fixture strikes attended and plans made for camps.

However, until we communicate otherwise our regulations remain as they were - i.e. groups of 6 (or 1 coach to 5 juniors) with no interaction between groups. Our current training schedule will also stay in place until we publish any changes.

We are going to have a lot of demand on our facilities with training and matches, adults and juniors competing for time and space. We are going to do our best to find the right balance.

If you wish to help sort all of this out please contact juniors@richmondcricketclub.com. In the meantime please be patient and stick to the current published guidelines and timetable.

We will publish more good news very soon!
