Richmond's 2026 Boys U11s (school year 6) are a friendly and competitive squad of around 30 boys.
In 2026, we will enter the Surrey tier 1 league (Sundays) and the Middlesex tier 2 league (weekdays) as well as playing multiple tournaments and friendlies. Our focus this year will be on combining around 25-30 meaningful match opportunities with 12 weeks of high quality training (on Thursdays) to improve core technical and matchplay skills.
Everyone is welcome at Richmond. Our principal goal is to foster a lifelong love of the game for all and maximise everyone's potential. We bring a genuine passion for cricket and like to think that rubs off with the boys! For those who aspire to County level and beyond, we have multiple boys in the 2026 Surrey talent pathway and several have applied for the new Middlesex county programme. For those who are happy to play, improve every week and have fun, we will support you equally. There is nothing more satisfying for coach or parent to see any player improve, develop a passion for the game, and with hard work perhaps become an A team regular.
We welcome keen new team players at any time, no matter experience, and provide winter training nets opportunities. Please get in touch today if you'd like to join or have any questions.
2025 (U10):
In 2025, we played 40 matches, entering the Middlesex tier 1 and tier 2 leagues, the Surrey tier 1 league and multiple tournaments and friendlies. Players played an average of 11 matches (with our tier 1 squad playing more). We finished as runners up in the Middlesex tier 1 league and reached the semi final of the prestigious Gubby Allen cup, losing to eventual winners Eastcote in a tight match.
2024 (U9):
In 2024, we played over 30 matches, topping our Middlesex tier 1 league and competing in the Surrey tier 2 league. The boys had an average of 10 opportunities to play (some many more) giving plenty of time to learn, progress and participate at the right level.
